March 5, 2016 - Website Updates
Hello readers!
So a few changes will be coming to the site for 2016 and beyond. Last year, I feel like my activity was too sporadic. To right this, I'm trying to see at least one new movie a week. Funny story, I was going to go see Eddie the Eagle last week in light of this new change and I got into a little car accident so that didn't happen. But I saw Zootopia this week and hopefully next week, I'll be seeing 10 Cloverfield Lane. Really, it all depends on what comes to the cheap seats near my house (they sell tickets for $3 to $5). I try to make monthly trips to the nearest independent theater, which is an hour away, and usually see a couple movies while I'm there. This month, I'm hoping to see Embrace of the Serpent and Knight of Cups. I'm a big Malick fan so that is definitely a must-see. I see most of my indie/foreign films when they come out on DVD/Blu-ray.
I'm also hoping to see a wider variety of films this year. Last year, I feel like I just saw a lot of R-rated dramas/awards contenders and this year I'd like to expand that: more animated movies, more blockbusters, more "bad" movies (seeing Regression pretty soon...).
You may or may not have noticed, but I've begun to catalog all of my reviews under the "Reviews" tab. Hopefully this will create a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate archive.
And I'd also like to start updating the blog more! Last year, I made a total of two blog entries so that's going to change. Here is also my first step in that direction.
If any of you have a Letterboxd account, I update that very regularly with the films I watch, my thoughts on them, top 10 lists, and things of that sort so feel free to follow me @moviepoop!
Thanks for reading!
